The Mission

Are you a skilled Cloud Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity? We have the perfect mission for you! Join our team at Dotdash Meredith, a leading company in the tech industry. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining systems and infrastructure hosted within AWS and limited on-premises systems.

Your day-to-day tasks will involve capacity planning, load testing, cost management, and responding to system outages. You will also be responsible for vulnerability mitigation and supporting tasks such as DNS and SSL management. Additionally, you will support and troubleshoot hardware and software problems, ensuring that our systems are running smoothly.

In this role, you will maintain, monitor, and analyze system components, providing recommendations for system and application health. You will conduct software and hardware evaluations, offering technical analysis and implementing systems to meet our IT goals. It will be your responsibility to maintain a strategic IT plan that aligns with our overall growth plan, regularly reviewing it with management and making any necessary adjustments.

As a Cloud Engineer at Dotdash Meredith, you will have the opportunity to undertake and manage the research and improvement of our systems. You will also maintain vendor relationships to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure.

To be successful in this role, you should have three to five years of experience with Linux web hosting systems integration and management in a corporate environment. Proficiency in Linux operating systems and cloud operating environments is a must. You should also have a strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, and other related networking technologies. Knowledge of container-based software deployments will be highly beneficial.
