CoverGo is seeking a Remote Technical Lead, Back-end to join our dynamic and diverse team. As a leading provider of cutting-edge technology to the insurance industry, we are dedicated to helping insurance companies and banks make insurance 100% digital and better serve their customers. With offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, and plans for expansion into the US and other markets, we are committed to growth and innovation.

As a Remote Technical Lead, Back-end, you will play a crucial role in our technical excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing the backend development practice, ensuring our technical standards are met, and serving as a role model for the backend team. Your day-to-day tasks will involve designing, building, growing, and maintaining our services, as well as developing robust and scalable software. Your expertise and knowledge will empower our team to thrive and grow, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with engineers across functional teams.

We are looking for quick learners who are excited about new technologies, and who advocate for automated testing, code quality, and engineering best practices. Collaboration and excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to take ownership of projects from conception to production.

In terms of qualifications, we require experience in event sourcing, CQRS, and DDD (Domain Driven Design), as well as the ability to run teams of 10+ people. A deep understanding of .NET Core and C#, experience with Docker, and familiarity with microservices using GraphQL are also necessary. Proficiency in database technologies such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL, as well as intensive TDD practice, is expected. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, and experience or knowledge in BDD is a must.

It would be advantageous to have experience in event storming or event modeling, as well as knowledge of tools such as SpecFlow and GitHub Actions. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Alibaba, as well as insurance and fintech experience, would also be beneficial. Knowledge of Kubernetes and GitOps is a plus.

At CoverGo, we value our employees and strive to create a workplace that you love coming to. We offer a competitive salary, full-remote employment, and the flexibility to work from anywhere or one of our physical offices occasionally. You can enjoy local time zone office hours and work according to your schedule. We provide paid annual leaves, employee stock options, performance bonuses, and conduct performance reviews twice a year. We also organize company activities and team offsites to exotic locations, and offer a comprehensive training and development plan.
